3.3.3. Encryption

After selecting option 3 from the “Modify Bluetooth Settings” menu, the following menu is displayed.

The factory set Encryption mode is “Disabled”. This can be changed to enable “Point to Point” or “Point to Point &

Broadcast”.

Unlike the communications settings, this Bluetooth setting is applied with immediate effect.

. The PIN (Personal Identification Number) is used to create a secure and trusted connection between 2

Bluetooth devices during a process called pairing or bonding.
